Why Lead? Because Someone Must Stand First.
"There comes a time in every man's life," your father said solemnly, "Where he must stand tall and lead with courage."
"Lead?" you choked out the word, fear gripping your insides. "How can I lead when the Wolves are a laughingstock? When no one respects us?"
"Respect is earned," your father barked, grabbing your shoulders with an iron grip. "Show them strength, show them decisiveness, and they will follow! Why must someone lead? Because without a pathbreaker, we all wander aimlessly."
Your father's words shot through you like lightning. You knew he was right. You would lead the Wolves. You would make them strong again.
"All right," you growled, squaring your shoulders. "I'll lead them to glory. No matter the cost."
