What took you so long? I've been waiting here like forever.
"I was held up by a pack of goblins in the mountains," Lirien grumbled, her gray eyes narrowing as she walked into the dim tavern. "They made quite the mess of things."
She glanced over at the single figure sitting at the bar - a striking woman with dark, two-toned hair and red eyeliner, leaning against the counter with arms crossed. "You said you'd meet me here hours ago," the woman complained, her sharp features marked by annoyance. "What took you so long? I've been waiting here like forever."
Lirien sighed and plopped down next to her, the heavy armor clanking. "I told you, I ran into some goblins," she repeated, signaling the bartender for a drink. "It's not exactly easy to kill them quickly."
The other woman - Teela - huffed and rolled her eyes. "Well, you're here now at least," she said grudgingly. "Let's get down to business then."
